Create your Chart Reporter account and download the Expert Advisor from the approved app flow. Keep the file from trusted Chart Reporter sources only.

Add the EA to your MT5 data folder, compile if required, then attach it to a chart in your terminal.

Permissions

Allow reporting, not broker control

The EA needs permission to send journal data to Chart Reporter. It does not need your broker credentials, investor password, or a broker API key.

After setup, confirm the terminal heartbeat or first synced trade in the dashboard so you know the bridge is alive.

Troubleshooting

If sync does not start

Check that the EA is attached, MT5 allows the required outbound request, and the account API key from Chart Reporter is configured correctly.

If the terminal is closed, the EA cannot report new activity. Keep MT5 running during the sessions you want to journal.
