Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Chart Reporter (“the Service”), operated at app.chartreporter.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Chart Reporter is a trading journal and analytics platform. The Service captures trade data from your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) terminal via a lightweight Expert Advisor (EA) and displays it in a web-based dashboard with performance analytics, session tracking, and strategy-level breakdowns.

The EA runs locally within your MT5 terminal. Chart Reporter does not connect to your broker, access your trading account, or execute trades on your behalf. We do not provide financial advice, trading signals, or investment recommendations.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Chart Reporter. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete registration information.

4. Subscription Tiers & Billing

Chart Reporter offers the following subscription tiers:

• Trader (Free) — Forensic journaling, 3-day trade history, MT5 auto-sync, basic dashboard
• Pro ($19/month) — Everything in Trader plus 90-day history, session filters, multi-broker sync, and screenshot auto-sync. Includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
• Sovereign ($39/month) — Coming soon. Everything in Pro plus unlimited history, custom page layouts, and agentic integration (MCP).

Paid subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

5. Expert Advisor (EA) Usage

The Chart Reporter EA is provided for use solely with the Chart Reporter service. You may install the EA on any MT5 terminal you operate. The EA is provided “as is” and you are responsible for ensuring compatibility with your broker’s MT5 environment.

The EA captures trade event data and, if enabled, chart screenshots. It does not modify orders, execute trades, or interfere with your trading activity. You should verify that EA operation is permitted under your broker’s terms of service.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all trade data and screenshots uploaded to Chart Reporter. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your trade data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the EA or web application
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Share your account credentials or allow unauthorised access to your account
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal EA operation

8. Limitation of Liability

Chart Reporter is a journaling and analytics tool. It is not a trading platform, broker, or financial advisor. We do not guarantee the accuracy of analytics, market data, or performance calculations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chart Reporter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, data loss, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Chart Reporter after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
