Persistent Journal

From MT5 Trade History to a Persistent AI-Readable Journal

MT5 trade history is the execution record. Chart Reporter turns that record into a persistent review dataset that an authenticated AI client can query without receiving trading authority.

Capture

Start from the terminal's source record

The Chart Reporter EA reports trades from MetaTrader 5 into the user's private account. It does not need an investor password or a broker API key.

The resulting record can preserve entries, exits, partial closes, commission, swap, stop and target context, magic numbers, and other fields that manual journals often omit.

Enrich

Add the categories that make review useful

Strategies, tags, patterns, session definitions, screenshots, and notes organize the raw history around the trader's actual process.

Not every stored field is exposed through MCP today. The current read-only tools focus on trades, hubs, aggregates, strategies, tags, sessions, patterns, and screenshot metadata.

Review

Give agents questions with a stable evidence base

Once the data is persistent, an agent can compare periods, accounts, symbols, directions, strategies, and sessions without asking the trader to reconstruct a spreadsheet first.

That does not make the agent a financial adviser or turn correlations into causes. It makes the review reproducible and keeps the source data available for human verification.

FAQ

Clear answers before you connect anything

Is this a broker API integration?

No. The reporting EA pushes journal data from the MT5 terminal.

Is the MCP connection read-only?

Yes. Current Chart Reporter MCP tools read authenticated journal and analytics data and do not execute trades.

Why not just export a CSV?

A persistent journal keeps structured relationships and review context available without producing and re-uploading a fresh file for every question.
